Technology Commercialization AssistanceThe Technology Commercialization Assistance (TCA) program is an Iowa State University effort that helps accelerate the movement of new technology to the marketplace. ISU helps entrepreneurs heading up early stage, "high tech" companies create commercially viable products from new technology. ![]() TCA helps to bring together key components of commercializing technology-based products:
TCA projects are driven by the need of the Iowa start-up. Companies can enter into collaborative research projects with university researchers for technical research and also implement a market research effort to help guide the technical research and begin implementing a market–based commercialization plan. The goal is to access university expertise in accelerating the technology commercialization process. Cost sharing funds are available for TCA projects. The]se are used to match company money to fund the university research (personnel, materials, travel, and supplies). Up to 50% of the total project costs incurred at ISU can be funded by TCA funds not to exceed more than $23,000 per project. Read more about additional ISU resources to support entrepreneurs at:
